I don’t like this, the idea that our social contract is broken. I want to believe. Still. Even in the face of all of the evidence, I still want to believe. And I recognize it’s all denial. As the evidence piles up to become incontrovertible, something has to change.
This piece (and earlier pieces by EKO), along with recent similar conclusions from other authors, causes me great pain. It also resonates with what we are now seeing. The proof of universal corruption that is boiling over at every level of government and becoming plain to see if only I open my eyes and heart and accept it as true. My love for what the Founders miraculously created is deep and my beliefs strong. There is part of me that wants to hang on to that belief what our country "should be." And there's the rub. My projecting what should be on to what is.
I know the pain from that rub is my resistance, my refusing to accept what is grating against what I believe should be. And I think you are right, EKO, that the only way forward is the inner pathway. The resistance I have is a belief that those in power (here's that word again) "should" consistently act for the highest good. Some do so, sporadically. But those are few and uncommon among those who seek the levers of power and wealth.
So I must turn inward, to do the work necessary to accept what is, embracing that which is infinitely valid and worthwhile and beyond corruption. Thanks, EKO, for your part in helping me accept that need to accept. I look forward to the letting go, when it happens.
When speaking of “Fake News” I am oddly surprised that more conservatives have not figured out using basic common sense and logic that “ALL” legacy media is fake! Let’s look at @NewsMax and @FoxNews which are both CIA Operation Mockingbird outlets and lie or spin literally everything to brainwash the conservative audiences. Take Ukraine for example. Let’s present what they refuse to admit or broadcast? EXAMPLE: Russia wasn’t and is not the aggressor in Ukraine, NATO is! First of all let me make this very clear, Ukraine is and was the aggressor as NATO and the United States reneged on every major promise to Russia & put forces on Putin’s border. Second Ukraine is literally a puppet nation created by the CIA led coup using the Nazi Azov battalion against Viktor Yanukovych in 2014. Under Obama the CIA and DOD started the illegal Ukrainian covert bio weapons manufacturing labs doing gain of function against the 75’ Bio Weapons Convention Treaty. Third it’s a haven for Nazis, money laundering, child trafficking and illegal black market live organ dealing. Fourth: The Ethnic cleansing of innocent Russia supporting Ukrainian citizens in the eastern province of Donbas by Ukrainian Azov battalion Nazis is literally genocide. Fifth: Let’s talk about FTX and the billion’s laundered through Ukraine by dirtbag Sam Bankman-Fried and funneled back to U.S politicians? Both parties by the way. So do not think republicans aren’t balls deep in this massive war crime and bio weapons manufacturing criminal operation folks or that somehow Newsmax and Fox just by some random chance didn’t receive these facts? No, Operation Mockingbird never ended, the CIA started it in 1957 and the televised news has never been authentic since. It also oversaw newspapers and magazines too. An awareness of Romans 3:23 would prove that MAGA was not the Surface we were seeking. But those who know the One who walked into occupied territory two thousand years ago and told people they were already free are probably asking who exactly our "stadium owner" is now. To unmask the real tyrants is half the battle in removing them, dangerous as that has always been.
I heartily agree! The contract is broken, and the light is shining brightly over the shadowy landscape. President Trump continues to cast off the compromised parts as the Republic speeds along the highway. He knows the answer; it now beats within his chest after the Answer spared his life from the assassin's bullets. I was so hopeful after he was spared, then they killed Charlie, and others took his place—others, unlike Charlie. Now we have Tucker and Candace creating noise and distraction. You are right, the answer is above and also within. The control forces, hierarchical religious structures, egotistical fake MAGA, and all of the others long identified; they have no power over those who are inwardly free. I have been saying that the government needs to be dissolved and reset, that first paragraph blew me away and changes my view of the situation totally. The way to see it is we are a people without a government. Not sure if it solves the dilemma - sure wish tarring and feathering was still an option.
