I am eternally grateful that I was not raised in church. I was introduced to Jesus through my grandma. People I know struggle because of what they have been taught throughout their lives by the institution known as the church. My heart breaks for them. His yoke is easy and His burden light. The end.
What happens when something gets too stiff and unflexible......it breaks. I can already hear it starting to crack. Might be wise to stay a safe distance because it's going to be one enormous crash when it hits the ground!
Was just having a discussion about this with a colleague this morning.
Those who benefit from the control systems of division, also introduced the friction elements to keep people focused on the fractal rather than observing the simple and clear signal.
Change your mindset and you change your consciousness.
Let the signal sink in and you then begin to see the truth and the manufactured, divisive fractal noise evaporates like the autumn mist when greeted by the warmth of the sun.
The awakening really is just letting in the strength of the signal that was there all along, yet for centuries obscured by the noise of the fractal control systems built to imprison our minds and souls in their carefully constructed either / or facade.
How amazing to read expressed in this blog what I have questioned over the decades, citing the very passages that I focused on. Thank you.
The trinity has always seemed a tortured explanation of something that made no sense, and one was an apostate if one did not nod and accept it.
This desire of the Father to speak directly to us and not through ritual or human hierarchy was revealed long before Jesus' time, but hardly noticed:
Jeremiah 7:22-24
22 For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. 23 But this command I gave them, ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’ 24 But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward.
It all traces back to the Melchizedek covenant with Abraham. The covenant that became encrusted by centuries of churchianity, priests, middlemen and money changers. The covenant that Jesus worked diligently to clean up and dress in new garments. New garments of bread, wine and washed feet on Passover evening, and the crown of Spirit of Truth on Pentecost. Not a replacement and burial for his beloved Feasts and Holy Days, but a cleansing and adjustment to bring them in line with the original spirit of the covenant, as Jeremiah so clearly spells out.
Naomi Woll is reading the Bible aloud on her substack. Your point comes though continually. It breaks her heart that God wanted to dwell among us and be in relationship with us, but this message is lost.
Wow. This gives me a flashback to a question I asked my grandmother when I was a boy many many years ago: if a person accepts Jesus as their Savior, tries to live in accordance with His teachings, tries their best to live a good spiritual life, why would that person not go to Heaven just because they don’t go to the “true” church?
It didn’t make any sense to me then. Still doesn’t.
Appreciate this post. Not often that I run into someone who understands this. It took me a long time as I bounced around many churches looking for the truth. Never found it inside 4 walls.
Time in scripture and a few mentors who understood this truth about Jesus and the Kingdom helped turn the light on.
It is as you said. I will add that this is why the narrow path is found by only a few. Many are on the wide path and do not yet realize it. Many carry heavy burdens because of the pharisaical moorings in the modern churches. Sad because Jesus never intended that.
Just, Truth. Jesus breaks the chains of institutionalism. I AM the Way, IAM the Truth, I AM Life. Eternal..Today. Thank you, for your exposition of clarity.
Outstanding article; a distributable, printable flier on that would be amazing to have "in hand". If that were possible??? It would come in handy! The wording cannot be excelled. I went through my first major "separation" of an established church when I was 11... asked the Father to lead me and He did, to many places which lead to more growth and inevitable "detachments". Controversy was always a part of the process, but in the process we plant seeds, never knowing who might wake up. False-front religion separates from truth. The spearpoint is often not just about Jesus and the Father, but about the "law" (Matthew 5:17-20) which Jesus said He was not doing away with -- that law which flows naturally from the heart of one truly walking with God, but made a stumblingblock by false teachers.
That's wonderful! I'll be looking for it; will buy the book for myself but sometimes our encounters with people are too short to pack in everything you wrote in that article. I am blessed to attend a congregation pastored by a man who KNOWS and been booted from many other "groups". Never flinches in telling the truth and focuses as Jesus did on the Father... (It's so simple, isn't?) I will let him know about this as well.
Thank you again for your questions. Since we left the church we have been self directed- seeking God and trying to learn his way for us. I believe he directed us to you as well. So many lies are coming to light daily, so many institutional controls exposed- it is bewildering until you fix your eyes on the Lord and let everything else go. Thank you Eko💕
To me it comes back to a verse you quoted in part, John 14:6:
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." (NASB 1995)
The first half of that verse (the part you didn't quote) drives your message home: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life."
From the moment Jesus came to preach the Good News, Satan has been working to undermine His message. That's the process you describe in this piece. Satan does not have the power of God, but he is relentless, patient, never stopping, never waiting -- always sowing doubt and uncertainty. Satan's been at it a long time; by the time Constantine made Christianity the religion of the realm, Satan's work was more or less complete.
Though they are in many ways and on balance forces for good in the world, modern churches have in almost all cases been corrupted. The only ones that have not, in my experience, are ones without a strong central authority. The more power held by the 'organization,' the more corrupt the church. I don't know if this is a definitional maxim, or merely an observed coincidence; but I suspect the former. Lord Acton famously said, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
There's a simple lithmus test anyone can use. If a church is 501(c)(3) then it's corrupt because in signing that incorporation charter (a contract) it takes the bribe, and places big government between it and God. 99% of churches today are 501(c)(3). That's the sad reality, but at least that charter is a visible red flag that makes it obvious for all to see. Then we know which ones to avoid.
Sad to my heart. Luke 17 : 11-19. Preached on this past Sunday. No mention of vs 20-21. It is beyond my grasp that "This" was left unexpounded in the context of what had come before.
It is often this way. The meat is not served at the banquet.
"Jumping the Turnstile" - I've struggled with meaning. I've found, due to reading several versions of scripture on the same page, that each translation of the Bible has a few subtle word changes. Thank you EKO for helping me with my thinking to just follow what Christ taught. Growth with God is good!
Since the dogma in Christianity never added up, I took out the dogma and found that the summary of the law (Love God 100% and Love others as we love ourselves) is in all four Gospels, so surely this must be a clue. If we Love God 100%, we cannot hate others, so right there, we are better off since hatred corrodes the container within.
But then why are we all so different making it so we cannot get along? What if all of our differences is our Creator’s design to help us figure out the law of Divine Oneness?
What if the idea that everyone is at a different soul level in our journey of Life is true? If that’s correct, an infant soul is in survival mode and will do whatever it takes to survive and not worry about harm to others. Infant souls are supposed to inhabit much of the third world.
Baby souls are traditionally fundamentalists, and all about law and order, but of course that depends on what type of law and order (and shariah law doesn’t sound civilized to most of us westerners).
A young soul is in power mode – ends justify the means - and probably make up the majority of the politicians.
A mature soul would understand the depth of loving our enemies, but maybe not be successful in achieving that, and old souls just understand it all.
If someone is a young soul trying to understand why baby souls do what they do, it’s like trying to explain algebra to a kindergarten kid.
When pondering all the craziness in the world, the idea that everyone is at a different soul level in the journey of Life starts making sense:
EKO, the programming runs deep. One of the most significant themes of scripture is do not be afraid. The paradox is that if no one were afraid of God, no one would go to church.
I am eternally grateful that I was not raised in church. I was introduced to Jesus through my grandma. A very interesting way to describe the Spirit of Truth. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
This is the very conversation we should be having at this very moment... DIVINE APPOINTMENT. Blessings to you EKO... Be richly blessed.

So true about the narrow path.

Yes. 2026. I am using monies from subscription and book sales to produce videos and small, stapled pamphlets.
