"Commissioned for a planet that had been quarantined for two hundred thousand years after the chain of command fractured."
"...reaching for a census tablet."
"The numbers showed the population degrading toward permanent collapse."
Not a hopeful story EKO. "They" are still trying to kill us off, ramping up the numbers of ways to kill us, and then counting us. They have lots of choices. And we can either survive or die.
You surprised me with this story. Somehow, I thought it would be similar or opposite of the church story, even tho I knew better. After reading all of it (twice) it reminded me of how it felt when the doctor told my husband in 1999 that he would be dead within a year. He recovered from that cancer and was told again in 2017 that he had another cancer, but it went away two years ago. Eve has shown us that we have choices and redemption and unusual surprising outcomes, even though it seems like she had no choices. Sometimes, a hopeless situation is nobody's fault. I think the only important part is how we deal with it.
Didn't read the entire article. Headline, of course, was a put off. Just a little item in those texts that, once again, blame all of humanities woes on a woman LOL. Thanks for all your work tho.
Exactly what the article is about. The framing is the lie. The subtitle is the accusation she's been carrying for thousands of years. The article is the demolition of it. Read past the first section and tell me if you still feel that way. I think you'll be surprised.

It's actually the beginning of the most hopeful story ever told.
Their failure was so catastrophic the Boss Himself had to come down to our little world in a forgotten corner of the universe to set things right.
You already know that story. Telling it in my weekly series.
I'm just showing you what made it necessary.

this is definitely going to be my most misunderstood story.

Very “U”, EKO.
No thank you on this one.
If Adam and Eve were Cajuns they’d have eaten the snake instead and we’d all still live in Paradise.
Dang it, I wish I understood what the heck is going on here, It sounds profound. Huh.
