"The fact that so many politicians are shameless liars is not only a reflection on them, it is also a reflection on us. When the people want the impossible, only liars can satisfy."
The Court is a mixed bag these days. Many of the lower courts are utterly corrupt with SCOTUS reliably undoing the damage at a great cost of time and lost opportunity. SCOTUS has been more right than wrong the last several years and that is cause for hope. The birthright ruling is horribly off and for no good reason.
John Adams correctly pointed out that a nation is not its institutions, a nation is its people. When the people are religious and moral they will not tolerate malfeasance from their elected representatives and will enforce discipline on their judges. When the people have become soft and corrupt they will hire thugs to steal from their neighbors and the end is not far off. We cannot survive theft and redistribution of property. We cannot survive the wanton disregard of borders and of culture, which is merely theft of a different kind. We have been given a reprieve these last few years. Has the citizenry earned its fruits or will we make a final slide into ruin?
So close to the truth, it hurts. Those paying attention know what's at hand. Pray like your depended on it because it does. Thanks EKO for caring. You are a true patriot,
The only way the cycle ever breaks. Not an army. A copy, and another copy, and the truth moving faster than the men sent to burn it.
There is one move the apparatus has never learned to counter, and it comes from the last place anyone looks. The tippy top. The machine can predict every man who climbs toward power. It has no model for the man who reaches the top and opens his hand. Who takes the throne he was handed and instead sets authority back into a thousand hands.
Our history is replete with such men (and women). It is the very reason we are who we are today. Washington, Jefferson, Adams, and Trump. Every one of these and more saw something worth sacrificing for; it was indeed a divine vision. Today we have the same opportunity history affords it to us all.
I listened to and finished the audio version of McCarthy. I get more out of reading the printed version than listening to audio. I enjoyed it very much and will listen to it again. It made me really sad to think that he died without knowing that the release of files and testimony would vindicate and the truth would come out. Thank you for sharing his story. I am looking forward to your post on Justice Thomas.
When Law Itself fails to protect the 'little people' the vulnerable but instead becomes a tool to boost the powerful, the crooked then the only recourse is to arms.
Great article. I watched a video several decades ago that introduced me to the 250-year length of empires recorded in history. It was impactful to me and influenced my increased digging in historical information. History was one of my favorite subjects in school, and it was disappointing to learn how much of it was ignored, obfuscated, misrepresented, and other negative attributes in the curriculum the system limited consideration of.
I am glad to see that you are doing the youtube channel. I've signed up and will let others I know who prefer watching/listening to reading know about it.
Lastly, I am looking forward to the Clarence Thomas project. I am confident it will be another treasure trove.
Blessings to you and your family. Have an incredible holiday weekend, celebrating July 4th. As a dual citizen, born in Canada, and naturalized American (with a deep history of American ancestors going back to the 1600s) I will be lifting up both countries with the mind of those who being of the faith look to our Maker for better days ahead.
