Nixon resigning is my earliest political memory - I don't remember Watergate just the newspaper headline of NIXON TO QUIT. But growing up afterwards, I do remember what a pariah he was. As I got into my teens/early adulthood, it started to seem over the top to me. Press was obsessed. The final straw for me was when his wife died and at the funeral, the poor man was just sobbing and they ran it everywhere. They wouldn't even let him grieve his wife in peace. You got your pound of flesh, you got him out. Now you are just being cruel.
It is interesting to see the story slowly turn. I hope his daughters get a modicum of justice. It can't have been easy for them.
Yet the MSM remain focused on the narrative: Richard Nixon was guilty guilt guilty... repeated three times to entrench it into our brains.

I dont feel he was pariah, i feel that is what they wanted him to be to masses cuz they wanted him out!
