What I love most about your writing is how I can visualize every scene, every feeling your characters express. I could just see the chazan looking out that window waiting for the answer to stroll by. I laughed right out loud.

Imagine for a moment what Mary and Joseph already knew. The child was the Son of the Most High God. The Angel Gabriel had visited Mary first and told her she would become pregnant by the Holy Spirit and give birth to a son. Gabriel even told her what to call Him. Yeshua (or Yehoshua), which means "Yahweh saves" or "the Lord is salvation". Mary's response? I am the Lord's servant. May your word be fulfilled." They already knew the prophecies. They had heard that the Messiah would come from the line of David. That was Josephs' lineage but they never imagined...

He would be born in Bethlehem but his home was in Nazareth - that Podunk town of laborer's and servants to the wealthy. As Nathanael said to Philip; "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Jesus of Nazareth did.

Everything the angels told Mary and Joseph to do in subsequent visits they did. No questions, just immediate compliance. If anyone ever needed an example of what active faith in the Most High looks like, there it is.

No angels visit us today, but we have still been blessed by that same Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth...the Helper Jesus promised He would send in His name that would abide with us forever in our new hearts and would teach us all things though faith. Do you believers today question or do you hold fast to your faith and trust in Yahweh like Mary and Joseph. Stay awake brothers and sisters. Draw strength as you persevere in prayer and study and fellowship with other saints. His hour is coming.

EKO. God bless you. Your faith shines through in your wonderful story's and helps keep our faith strong. Love you too.
