I've turned and walked away from this story several times knowing I would just burn down more of my already shortened candle. I had worked for many years as a pattern identifier. Partnered with an asset retrieval operation team. A group of field spooks on the trail relentlessly hunting for those marked as boogiemen ... I'm now retired ...
