Two kinds of refusal. Two types of darkness.

Those who would not come. And the one who came but would not be changed. I can see this statement in a wholly non-religious context. The kingdom of God is universally available. We are all invited. To fit into it, the hard shell of our Egos must be released. Even when we see the glory of it, time and time again, we wish to participate, but our shadow selves arise. Ego and consciousness are not compatible. For myself, again and again, I feel grace arrive and quickly reminds me of the blessing of releasing all Egoic desires, and once again settle into the Father's rest.

Thank you, EKO. Your writing details perfectly how ‘grace does not negotiate with those who will not receive it.’

I might be that guy thrown out for wearing his scarred clothes. Surrender is almost unimaginable when your entire life you've fought back.

This hits so close to home. <3

Insightful and poignant. Both as a scriptural meditation and as a life guide. Thank you.

So, we that know the Real Power that makes brings Real Wholeness read on and on waiting to see if you have more than poetical theological philosophy. A shiny suit and shiny words doesn't make one trustworthy. 2 Timothy 3:5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Twelve times the exact the words Gospel of Christ is found in the New Testament. The foolish & ignorant talk philosophically about changing grace and yet know nothing of the True Power thereof. The True Power thereof is the Anointing (the Greek word Christos) that destroys the yoke of bondage (the very definition of the word "religion" means "a return to bondage"). *Isaiah 10:27 - And it shall be, in that day his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the ANOINTING.* THIS is the Gospel of Christ!! *2 Thessalonians 1:11 - Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:*

So, your answer is...? Seems to me, you don't want to put on the garment. Speak clearly please... you're not being attacked. True power isn't in question....

My take - the "garment" is the holy spirit. Grace from God. Take it or leave it.

Jesus walked this earth doing One Powerful Thing: Act 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good, and healing all those who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with Him.

So, keep presuming to tell all what you think you know little of.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 - And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Friend, I don't expect you to see the irony here. But others will.

You came to a story about a king who freely provided wedding garments and threw out the one man who refused to wear what was given.

Your response?

Scripture-bombing about "Real Power" and "the Anointing" while calling me foolish for not using your theological framework.

You quoted 2 Timothy 3:5 about people having "a form of godliness but denying the power thereof."

The man in the parable wasn't thrown out for lacking knowledge.

He was thrown out for insisting on his own terms.

Jesus didn't teach systematic theology.

He told stories that exposed the religious gatekeepers who knew every scripture but missed the Kingdom in front of them.

The Pharisees could quote Torah backwards. They had all the correct doctrines about God's power.

Jesus called them whitewashed tombs.

Not because their theology was wrong, but because they weaponized scripture to keep people away from grace.

That's what you're doing right now.

You're defending the system that murdered him while quoting the texts that were supposed to point to him.

The garment is still free.

The question is whether you'll wear it or keep insisting your rags are good enough.

The very FACT that you don't one single thing about what the actual Gospel is talking about Shames you!

For weeks you been philosophizing about Christianity and hardly using the Bible to do any of it adequately! You talk about faith and salvation and the power of God without even coming close to any Biblical understanding of the principles (I didn't say PHILOSOPHICAL) understanding of the SOURCE of SALVATION!! THE POWER TO MAKE MANKIND FREE!! NOT JUST FEEL GOOD PHILOSOPHICAL THEOLOGY!!

Isa 61:10 - I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul will be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the robes of salvation, He covered me with the robe of righteousness like a bridegroom adorns himself with ornaments, and like a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Do you even KNOW that is talking about the Fire Anointing of The Holy Ghost Baptism that John the Baptist preached that came by Jesus' own HOLY SPIRIT Anointing that filled the Whole Earth on the day of Pentecost?!! NO, you don't!

You’ve spent two comments scripture-bombing a stranger while calling them foolish, ignorant, and shameful.

That’s not defense of the gospel. That’s violence dressed as righteousness.

Jesus reserved his harshest words for people who weaponized scripture to exclude others from grace.

You’re doing exactly that.

Why are you so angry? There are like way better things to be angry about, like human and drug trafficking.

You aren't persuading anyone being like this.

If you are correct then your outcome is assured, why be angry? Maybe it's because Eko's writing hit something way too deep and your world is cracking?

Well you're aren't the only one. It's ok to hurt. But know that Eko loves you at the end of it.

Very well spoken, you bring Truth to our mortal beings. The Father is calling us all to be seated at the Kings table at the marriage supper of the lamb, and the bride. If you have accepted the invitation. Amen, EKO, that is joyful!

I feel this is not something spiritual but more of something political. Maybe it's just my frame of mind. This writer is captivating in their writings. Observer, I can relate to your post as I feel the same way. We are all invited to sit at the table, without Egos.

You're right that it feels political.

Once you experience direct access to the divine without intermediaries, you naturally see through the systems that claim authority over your spiritual life.

The awakening is spiritual.

Pattern recognition follows.
